Japan: SoftBank books loss of USD 16.7 billion

TOKYO – SoftBank Group expects to book a loss of $16.7 billion on its investments at its Vision Fund, the world’s largest vehicle for tech startups.

The losses announced Monday in effect wipe out the gains that the nearly $100 billion fund had been building up since its launch in 2017, likely putting its investments at a net negative. (Nikkei)
