Cebu Pacific Wins Best Airline Awards 2024

MANILA – Cebu Pacific (PSE: CEB), the Philippines’ leading carrier, has been honored with the prestigious Best Airline award at the Routes Asia Awards 2024. The ceremony took place on February 28, recognizing the airline’s exceptional contributions to airport and destination marketing in the Asia Pacific region.

Collaborative Efforts and Accessibility

CEB’s success stems from its collaborative efforts with airports and local as well as international destination partners. These partnerships have significantly enhanced air travel accessibility for the public. Notably, Cebu Pacific achieved the successful resumption of its Clark hub and launched 15 domestic and international destinations in April 2023. This strategic expansion has positioned CEB with the widest domestic network in the Philippines.

Sustainability Initiatives

Beyond connectivity, CEB is committed to sustainable practices. The airline has optimized flight plans and adopted electric vehicles (EVs) in its ground operations. Looking ahead, Cebu Pacific aims to transition to an all-NEO fleet by 2028 and incorporate Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) into its commercial network by 2030.

A Trailblazer in Aviation

Alexander Lao, Cebu Pacific’s President and Chief Commercial Officer, expressed gratitude for the award: “We are honored to receive this recognition. It reflects Cebu Pacific’s unwavering commitment to providing our passengers with exceptional service, expanding our network connectivity, and making air travel more accessible and affordable.”

Additional Accolades

This recent achievement reaffirms CEB’s position as a leader in the Philippine aviation industry. Apart from the Routes Asia Award, Cebu Pacific was hailed as the Best Low-Cost Airline Brand and the Most Sustainable Low-Cost Airline in the Philippines for 2023 by the World Economic Magazine. Additionally, Airlineratings.com recognized CEB as one of the top 20 safest low-cost airlines in the world for 2024.

CEB’s commitment to sustainability was further acknowledged with a Gold rating from the Centre for Asia Pacific Aviation (CAPA) and an environmental, social, and governance (ESG) score of 41 from S&P Global.

Currently, CEB operates flights to 35 domestic and 24 international destinations across Asia, Australia, and the Middle East. As it continues to connect communities and drive economic growth, Cebu Pacific remains a trailblazer in the aviation industry. (zai)
