Cambodia’s Covid cluster cases hit 425

PHNOM PENH _ The Ministry of Health on March 5 confirmed 23 new cases of Covid-19 linked to the February 20 community transmission, bringing the total to 425 in just two weeks.

The 25 include 10 Cambodians, 11 Chinese nationals and one each from Indonesia and Singapore.

And of the 25, two registered their address in Koh Kong province and are being treated there; one in Kandal; five in Preah Sihanouk; and the rest in Phnom Penh.

In a press release on March 5, the ministry said five more Covid-19 patients have recovered and been discharged from hospital. They include two Chinese women whose cases were linked the community transmission.

As of March 5, Cambodia had recorded a total of 932 Covid-19 cases, with 442 receiving ongoing treatment. (Phnom Penh Post)
