LONDON/SINGAPORE – Since 1999, the British consulting company Skytrax has been awarding the “World Airline Awards” annually, recognizing the best airline in the world. This year, more than 350 airlines from around the world were evaluated and ranked.

The ranking is based on customer surveys conducted from September 2023 to May 2024. Passengers from over 100 different countries rated their favorite airline based on criteria such as onboard comfort, food quality, and flight attendant service.

In 2024, Asian airlines once again dominate the top ten rankings. Notably, Air France, Turkish Airlines, and Swiss Air are the only European airlines to make it into the top ten.

According to the Skytrax Ranking 2024, the following Asian airlines are among the best in the world:

1. Qatar Airways: This airline has reclaimed the title of “World’s Best Airline.”
2. Singapore Airlines: Known for its excellent customer service and high-quality in-flight entertainment.
3. Emirates: Offers modern comfort and award-winning service.
4. ANA All Nippon Airways: Japan’s largest airline with a unique dual-hub model.
5. Cathay Pacific Airways: Provides extensive passenger and cargo services worldwide.
6. Japan Airlines: One of the leading airlines with a modern fleet.

These airlines stand out for their exceptional service, comfort, and quality, making them favorites among passengers.

German airlines, on the other hand, are far behind and did not make it into the top ranks. The results once again highlight the high quality and exceptional service that Asian airlines offer their passengers. (zai)
