Madrid – Spain may have a candidate to become a coronavirus vaccine before the end of April, Science Minister Pedro Duque said in a news conference on Thursday.
“We have many Spanish facilities working on several lines of vaccine research,” Duque said. “This area is making progress and likely before the end of April we’ll have a vaccine candidate.”
“The complete virus vaccine that is being developed at the National Center for Biotechnology is among the world’s most advanced,” he said. “I think there still exists the possibility that a vaccine will be discovered in Spain.” (Bloomberg)
