Taipei – EVA Air will launch daily nonstop flights between Taipei and Chiang Mai, starting on July 1. The airline will serve the route with an Airbus A321-200 configured in Business and Economy Classes for 184 passengers. The new route will give passengers on EVA’s 82 weekly flights from North America more convenient access to the largest city in Northern Thailand via easy, one-stop connections through Taipei.
With its rich history, cultural attractions and laid-back atmosphere, Chiang Mai was selected as one of the 25 Best Destinations in the world by TripAdvisor and listed in the Top 10 Best Cities worldwide by Travel+Leisure. UNESCO recently designated Chiang Mai as a Creative City for its crafts and folk art. And its abundant natural resources, from the lush green countryside and mountain ranges to primitive rainforests and majestic waterfalls, lure tourists to discover its beauty as they hike, bird watch and make friends at an elephant sanctuary.
EVA’s new Taipei-Chiang Mai route makes travel from North America to Northern Thailand easier than ever. Flights from all of EVA’s North America destinations arrive early enough in the morning to give passengers comfortable connection times. And arrival time in Chiang Mai is early enough in the day for passengers to enjoy some sightseeing. Return flights to Taipei are also scheduled so that passengers can make one-stop connections to all the major cities EVA serves in North America, including Los Angeles, San Francisco, Houston, Chicago, Seattle, Vancouver, Toronto and New York.
