VIR: Digital Tourism Meets in Berlin in June

BERLIN – The date has been set: on 23 and 24 June 2026, the VIR Innovation Days will once again take place in Berlin. The event, one of the central industry gatherings for digital tourism, will be hosted at the Design Offices at Humboldthafen. The organiser is the German Association for Internet Travel Distribution (Verband Internet Reisevertrieb e. V., VIR), continuing its role as a key forum for exchange, debate and forward-looking perspectives within the travel industry.

Last year, around 200 industry professionals attended each day of the event. Interest in new technological impulses, strategic discussions and practical innovations was high. The 2026 Innovation Days will build on this momentum, with a programme consistently focused on the future and addressing the key developments shaping digital tourism.

At the heart of the event is dialogue among experts from across the industry. The aim is to develop shared perspectives and provide orientation in an environment undergoing rapid change—driven in particular by advances in artificial intelligence and digitalisation.

“We are experiencing a rapid transformation, driven by the fast pace of progress in AI and digitalisation. It is not enough to simply observe these developments. We need to jointly assess them, discuss them and find answers to how we, as an industry, want to deal with them,” says Michael Buller, Executive Board Member of the German Association for Internet Travel Distribution (VIR).

The VIR Innovation Days 2026 offer the right setting for this: two days of concentrated insights into the latest developments, innovations and trends in the digital travel industry, combined with ample opportunities for exchange and discussion.
