Hong Kong – ITE & MICE, Hong Kong’s only international travel fair, will be attended in the two trade days by 2588 visitors from MICE & Corporate Travel and 6522 from travel agents. In all, it expects to draw some 12.000 buyers and trade visitors, with 74% from Hong Kong and 19% from China – mainly from southern provinces like Guangdong.
The annual ITE & MICE will next be held from June 11 to 14 at Halls 1A to 1E of the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre. Its first two days opens only to trade, the second trade day is designated to the MICE / Corporate Travel Day.
ITE & MICE 2015, co-locates the 29th ITE (leisure) and the 10th ITE MICE for synergy, as MICE trips often include leisure components and a significant number of travel agents engage in both types of travel.
An online survey held last June by the organizer found 83% of the MICE and corporate travel trade visitors seek destination information at ITE & MICE. Also, these buyers / visitors seek info and suppliers of hotels and accommodation (52%), travel agents / DMC (44%), and Tourism Boards / Convention & Meeting Bureaus (38%).
The combined ITE & MICE features nearly 700 international exhibitors (85% from abroad) from around 50 countries and regions all over the world, and therefore offers more destinations, products and suppliers.
ITE & MICE 2015 is supported by the China National Tourism Administration, Hong Kong Tourism Board, Travel Industry Council of Hong Kong, Macau Government Tourist Office etc. In addition, the ITE MICE 2015 is supported by MICE industry associations in the region, and several chambers of commerce.
Reflecting a worldwide trend that Free Independent Traveler (FIT), especially among the affluent and the enthusiast, now contribute to more travel business, 83% of the 75.000 public visitors of ITE & MICE prefer traveling in FIT/private groups.
