Auto China 2014 opens in Beijing

Beijing – The 2014 Beijing International Automotive Exhibition, or Auto China 2014, opened to the public on Monday. This year’s show hit record highs for the number of debut models and new vehicles.

More than 2,000 automakers from 14 countries and regions are participating in the annual event. They’re there to showcase more than 1,100 cars, including 118 vehicles making their global debut.

Organizers say there are two trends at this year’s car show. The first is that automakers are using fresh technology to produce electric cars. The second is that the automakers are also upgrading the traditional car based on new tech advances. Source: CCTV
