Jakarta – Mrs. Valerica Epure today presented her Letter of Credence as Ambassador of Romania to ASEAN to  Le Luong Minh, Secretary-General of ASEAN.

SG Minh congratulated Ambassador Epure for assuming her new role and expressed appreciation to the Government of Romania for its strong desire to strengthen cooperation with ASEAN, including under the frameworks of ASEAN-EU dialogue relations as well as Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM). He reiterated the commitment of the ASEAN Secretariat to work with Romania to further promote the relationship.

Ambassador Epure exchanged views with SG Minh on potential areas for cooperation, including in fields of health, water resource management and the promotion of human rights. Further, they discussed regional and international issues of common concerns. Source: ASEAN Secretariat
