TOKYO – Japanese ANA Holdings Co., Ltd. (ANA Group) and Hong Kong-based First Eastern Aviation Holdings have agreed that ANA Group will acquire the seven percent stake in Peach held by First Eastern. As a result, ANA Group now owns all shares of the Japanese low-cost airline.
Peach, Japan’s first low-cost airline, has steadily developed since its founding in 2011 and has been a consolidated subsidiary of ANA Group since 2017. In the first half of the 2024 fiscal year, Peach’s revenue reached an all-time high. In early December 2024, Peach expanded its operations and network in Asia with the launch of the Osaka/Kansai – Singapore route using the latest Airbus A321LR.
The close collaboration between ANA Group and Peach Aviation boosts the number of tourists to Japan and attracts new customer segments to ANA’s core airline. The company expects further growth in tourist numbers and aims to build on the existing growth with its decision to acquire the low-cost airline fully. Additionally, ANA Group plans to strengthen its business portfolio and increase profits. The goal is to continue developing demand to bring more tourists to Japan, aiming to attract 60 million visitors annually and promote regional revitalization through tourism.
As the parent company, ANA Group will support Peach’s goal of becoming a leading low-cost airline in Asia by leveraging Peach’s corporate culture and brand to develop the company further. The collaboration between Peach and other companies within ANA Group will continue to strengthen, to expand the airline segment, boost revenues, and increase the corporate value of the ANA Group.
