Jakarta – Traveloka, Southeast Asia’s leading digital travel and lifestyle booking platform, launched the Traveloka Clean Partners campaign as part of the company’s commitment to support the CHSE (Cleanliness, Health, Safety, and Environment) Protocols, while at the same time contributing to the acceleration of Indonesia’s travel and tourism sector recovery. Available for Traveloka Transport, Hotel, Xperience and Eats products, the Traveloka Clean Partners campaign offers an end-to-end and comprehensive portfolio, providing convenience and peace of mind for users who want to travel & do lifestyle activities in this New Normal era. Gradually available on Traveloka platform since June 2020, Traveloka Clean Partners is currently having more than 2,000 partners across 240 cities in Indonesia who are already committed to adhere with the health, hygiene and safety protocols released by the government and relevant institutions.
During the launch of the Traveloka Clean Partners campaign, Wishnutama Kusubandio, Minister of Tourism & Creative Economy of the Republic of Indonesia, stated, “We highly appreciate the industry players’ commitment, including Traveloka, who continuously support the development of the tourism and creative economy sector in the country. During this transition phase, collaborative efforts from all parties that result in innovative solutions are greatly needed, not only to boost the industry’s recovery but also to curb the COVID-19 spread in Indonesia.”
During the large-scale social restriction (PSBB) in June, Traveloka’s internal data shows that public’s confidence level to start their travel and out-of-home activities have increased by 16%, from 29% to 45%. Since the Traveloka Clean Partners campaign is available on Traveloka platform, the data also showed a significant increment of 300% for search on Traveloka products with the “Clean” label. Overall, Traveloka also recorded an increment of more than twofold for products with the “Clean” label that have been available since June, which are Hotel, Transport (Airport Transfer and Car Rental), as well as Xperience.
Christian Suwarna, CMO Traveloka & CEO of Traveloka Experience, stated that as a technology company, Traveloka is continuously observing the changing consumer behavior based on the latest situation development as well as the challenges encountered by Traveloka partners as the baseline to introduce innovative products. “Traveloka Clean Partners campaign is one of the company’s manifestations in providing convenience for users, while at the same time supporting the government’s CHSE Protocols. With the spirit of togetherness, we hope that Traveloka Clean Partners will be able to help thousands of partners to keep running their business amidst this challenging circumstance,” said Christian.
Traveloka CleanTrip and CleanFlight
Traveloka CleanTrip and CleanFlight have been available since July 2020, working together with 80 partners who have committed to implement the strict cleanliness, health, and safety protocols. With the CleanTrip and CleanFlight label, users could easily identify flight and ground transport that comply with these protocols.
Featuring Airport Transfer, Car Rental, as well as Bus & Shuttle, Traveloka CleanTrip requires its partner to implement hygiene protocols, such as vehicle disinfection, use of masks for driver and passengers, and capacity limitation. To provide an extra layer of protection, Traveloka also introduces Traveloka CleanTrip Plus, enabling users to get extra hygiene services, such as car shield, antiseptic wipes, and other in-car hygiene kits.
Meanwhile, Traveloka CleanFlight label is designed for airlines who have carried our cabin disinfection and thorough checking, including travel requirement documents, such as health statements.
Traveloka CleanStay
With more than 700 hotel, villa, apartment and resort partners in more than 90 cities across Indonesia, Traveloka CleanStay label is an indicator for accommodation partners who have fulfilled the 28 points of hygiene standard released by the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, Ministry of Health, World Health Organization, and Indonesian Hotel and Restaurant Association (PHRI).
Several standards that are implemented include the use of masks for on-duty staff, 1-meter physical distancing, as well as providing sanitary tools such as hand washing soap and hand sanitizer in public areas. Available since last June, this initiative is also displaying the photos and video of protocols implementation on the product detail page.
CleanXperience
Since the opening of several destinations in last June, Traveloka recorded an 8 times increment in Traveloka Xperience products’ booking. This becomes the company’s baseline to complete its service by introducing CleanXperience, which to date has successfully collaborated with more than 1.000 partners from 12 industries (theme park, zoo, salon, beauty & spa, wellness, local tour, etc.) across 64 cities in Indonesia. Starting from August 2020, users will be able to access the CleanXperience label for partners who have committed to implement a high standard of hygiene protocols in the New Normal era, such as physical distancing, using personal protective equipment, body temperature checking for visitors and staff, etc. This initiative is expected to foster the recovery of local tourism in the country and generate customer demands so it could help the partners to run their business after experiencing an almost zero income since the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak.
Traveloka CleanDining
With more than 150 restaurant merchants, Traveloka Eats served a safe and comfortable culinary experience during this pandemic period. Available in Traveloka app 3.24 version starting from August 2020, users can easily find restaurant partners who are already complied with the cleanliness, health and safety protocols outlined by the relevant institutions. Several protocols implemented are the usage of personal protective equipment and contactless temperature check. In addition, users can enjoy the OrderNow feature that enables them to do contactless order and payment Payment to reduce physical contact in the restaurant.
“We would like to extend our gratitude to the Ministry of Tourism and Economy Creative of the Republic of Indonesia who has given their support so that Traveloka could contribute to the recovery of Indonesian tourism and creative economy sector. We also would also like to encourage our other partners to proactively participate and convey their commitment to implement the high standard of CHSE Protocol, one of the ways is by joining Traveloka Clean Partners. We hope that all of industry players could partner together in order to curb the COVID-19 spread, while at the same time boosting the national economy, especially in this sector,” Christian concluded.
