Hong Kong & Shanghai Hotel group expands into Europe

Paris – The Hongkong and Shanghai Hotels, Limited (HSH)  announced  this month the opening of its tenth Peninsula
hotel and the first in Europe, The Peninsula Paris.

HSH Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director Clement K.M. Kwok said, “I am excited and proud to announce the latest addition to The Peninsula Hotels’ family, The Peninsula Paris. This will be our tenth Peninsula hotel but only our first hotel in Europe.
Together with our partners Katara Hospitality, it has taken four yearsCEO Clement King Man Kwok to design and build this magnificent contemporary hotel, with state-
of-the-art facilities, within this beautiful historic building which as a result has been restored to his former glory”.

The Peninsula celebrated its opening with an early-afternoon ribbon-
cutting ceremony and traditional Chinese lion dance honouring The Peninsula Hotels’ Asian heritage. Cutting the ribbon to launch the hotel was guest of honour Fleur Pellerin, Secretary of State for Foreign Trade, the Promotion of Tourism and French Nationals Ab

The Peninsula Paris has been designed with the modern luxury traveler in mind. The hotel’s 200 guestrooms are among the largest in the city and the most technologically advanced in the world , with fully customised interactive digital bedside and desk tablets pre-set with 11 language options.

Six dining venues offer a combination of the very best of France and The Peninsula. The Lobby, LiLi Chinese restaurant, La Terrasse Kléber, L’Oiseau Blanc rooftop restaurant, bar and terrace with 360° views over the most famous Parisian landmarks, Le Bar and Le Lounge Kléber
