IAA 2019: First presentation of BYTON M-Byte

Munich – BYTON, the premium brand for smart electric vehicles, will continue its tradition of major announcements at the IAA Frankfurt with the first look at its M-Byte SUV. Two years ago, the BYTON founding team announced the brand’s foundation during the IAA 2017.

With the innovative M-Byte cockpit, BYTON fulfills its promise of implementing a pioneering user-centric operating philosophy. This includes the 48-inch Shared Experience Display (SED) – the largest display in a production vehicle – the 7-inch Driver Tablet in the steering wheel and the 8-inch Touch Pad between the front seats. The M-Byte will be unveiled live during BYTON’s press conference on 10 September, 11:35 to 11:50 am, and also shown in its booth in Hall 8, Booth C13, during the IAA Frankfurt’s media and public days.

“Direct contact with journalists and fans, and the unfiltered feedback that comes from those interactions, is extremely important to us. We are proud of the great performance of our team, which has brought a smart electric car from an initial idea on a clean sheet of paper to series production readiness in an incredibly short amount of time. In our case, this also means setting up the necessary infrastructure, locations on three continents and an efficient industry-standard 4.0 production facility in China,” says Dr. Daniel Kirchert, BYTON CEO & Co-Founder.

BYTON M-Byte is positioned as the next generation smart device and developed for the automotive future, in which mobility is increasingly a digital experience. “About a year and a half ago we presented the concept study of our BYTON M-Byte at CES in Las Vegas. We deliberately chose this location to emphasize our vision to prioritize ‘Digital Power over Horsepower.’ At IAA 2019, we will show the technology and platform that realizes our vision and highlights what we mean by being a gamechanger,” concludes Kirchert.N
