Bangkok Airways: Health of passengers is priority

Bangkok – Bangkok Airways Public Company Limited announced today that the airline strictly follows its precaution and transmission prevention plans for the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) Pneumonia. The measures apply not only to the airline’s operations but also to its three airports (Samui, Sukhothai and Trat).  

The company recognizes that the health and safety of passengers and staffs are of the utmost priority.  The company’s precaution and prevention plans are in accordance with the standards and guidance of the Department of Disease Control, Ministry of Public Health and The Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT). The company has prepared adequate amounts of cleansing hand gels for passengers and employees in key areas. Furthermore, there is an increased frequency of general cleaning in high-traffic areas that has been implemented which include disinfecting and cleaning of all key areas such as check-in counters, passenger lounges, food & beverage kiosks, and in aircraft cabins especially the common areas and touch points. The laboratories are being sprayed with strong disinfectants after every single use.

All service staff (ground staff and cabin crews) must undergo a primary screening by using a hand-held thermometer in order to check each employee’s temperature before duty, and are required to wear protective face masks when on duty as well as protective gloves when serving food.
